Game production

This week was originally scheduled for the final week in the project however we have been given extra time to complete the project for next week as it is a review week acros the univeristy. In the film room project I have been revising my work, correcting poly counts and trying to save triangles. updating UV maps while also improving Texture maps and using the same roughness map on the bench wood texture and have applied it to the carpet material. This gives the illusion of the carpet appearing damp in some areas where a person could have spilled a pint or two.

Within my game production class, each team had been told to give a presentation displaying the work we had produced so far. This allowed us to show off our work and recieve feedback from our tutor Mike and the rest of the class.

This prooved eventful as we recieved a few criticisms about some textures and lighting. we were still progressing and had not put everyones assets into engine due to abscent team members.

Feedback relating to m assets were mainly about the colour of the carpet texture. this is because the carpet in the beauty snapshot photo has a lighter toned texture and mine was fairly darker. This is because i had used a previous scene in the movie to colour pick the colour from. In that scene the lighting is much different and shows a lighter yellow tone.

Another fault i had was with the clean-ness of the furniture. That is why i have added extra masked diffuse textures to add extra wear and tear to the materials.
