Week 21 - WITCH No. 1

This week I jumped straight into Zbrush to begin sculpting my first witch character. As I do not have alot of time to make 3 seperate characters i need to work as fast as I can to meet the deadline.... I WILL DO IT!

I begn with sculpting the head to get a feel of the Witches anatomy.



Then continued by making the arms.




I then went into 3ds max and make a low poly spine and ribcage.








(I needed to sort out the smoothing groups on the spine before putting it into zbrush. )
In my design I have this witch dressed with a padded raven feather top, with feathers hanging down form the torso. I do not know how to model single feathers in zbrush, and i cannot afford to learn exactly. But what i can do is make an alpha and use that to engrave surface detail onto the model. Which is exactly what I did.
I will then use the same Alpha and place planes around the base of the torso to give the effect of single feathers coming off.
